I've been in New York for a little over 2 weeks now, and I think I'm starting to get the hang of this; I walk faster (and proficiently in 6" platforms), take the subway (NOT metro - whoops!), drink more coffee (if that was even humanely possibly), and can cross the street in impeccable time. Clay and I decided to be "tourists" for the day and accomplish some of the NYC must-sees. After walking about 15 miles in 5" platform wedges, I'm ready for bed!

Speaking of NYC must-sees, Fashion's Night Out is Friday! I'm working an FNO event and then planning on experiencing some of the amazing nightlife afterwards! What do you have planned for FNO? It's time to celebrate and support the fashion and retail industry, wherever you are in the world! Enjoy!

BUNNY BISOUS

Hope you all had a great start to the month of September! It is still ridiculously hot here in the city and I am counting down the days until I can pull out my coats, throw on my fur, and buckle up my boots. 18 days until the first day of autumn!

Note: The bunny ears and sequin dress in this photo are both ASOS, gifts from DesignerApparel.com. Thank-you to the lovely ladies of DA for your continued support of Live Glam or Die! Check out their site for some great designers including Betsey Johnson, Marc Jacobs, BCBG, and many more!

SLOW DOWN BABY

I know I said I'd post when I got back from my short trip to NYC, but honestly I had no time while I was there to take pictures or really enjoy myself. Finding an apartment in Manhattan proved to be a horrid experience but now that it's over I can't wait to move in to our new place on the Upper East Side!

Above are just a few of the new things I've picked up lately and have been dying to blog; The Topshop Wisterias are obviously a blogger's fave for a reason - I think I could run a marathon in these perfect platforms! I'm also excited to debut this gold sequin dress and black and white embroidered dress courtesy of DesignerApparel.com! Check them out - Herve Leger, Jil Sander, Derek Lam, you seriously can't go wrong shopping on their site. The lace bunny ears headband is from ASOS and the cute little pink bow headband is from Forever21 (new Times Square location)!

I move into my new place on Saturday! I will be extremely busy so expect a slowdown in posts. I promise to update on you all on everything as soon as I'm settled in! Bisous!

LIVE GLAM OR DIE WEARING: IRIDESCENTS

I recently posted that I've been coveting all things shiny, specifically oversized jewels, gaudy gems, and an excessive amount of sequins (my friends know that my general motto in life is "Wear more sequins"). That craving for all things that sparkle has shifted to a more sophisticated shine: iridescents. How major is the Mulberry Bayswater Cosmic Python bag (who wants to spot me $4,000)? And these Christian Louboutin Pigalle flats ($3,135 USD) are undoubtedly my dream shoes (Ok, my dream ~practical~ shoes; add a 4" heel and platform and then we're definitely in business). Talk about a double rainbow.

Looking for more glitter, glam, and sparkle in your life? Check out one of my fave blogs, Crystal Avalanche. Vinnie's love for crystals and anything iridescent or opalescent violently rivals mine. Plus he has a closet that will make you swoon and then cry with envy. Five words: Alexander McQueen Runway Titanic Heels. Need I say more?

Bisous! Antonia

BIKINIS, ZUCCHINIS, MARTINIS

Photos by Clay

I can't believe July is almost over! At this time of year I always ponder: where exactly did our summer go? Between working full-time and preparations for NYC, I haven't taken the time to just relax. Today I had the chance to sit poolside and enjoy the beautiful sun. I don't want summer to end, but knowing shopping for a fall wardrobe is just around the corner brings both solace and excitement!

P.S: I made a new blog header! Thoughts?

I LOVE CREW

I love the J. Crew Fall 2010 collection and found this pic from their fall campaign particularly inspiring. I've already exhausted the pink lipstick, but this babe is seriously making me want to go platinum (even though I vowed I'd NEVER go there again. Disaster?). Moreover, it's the styling I love. Who can make that many pins and brooches look so effortless? I'm up to the test. I need a serious thrifting and vintage date in my near future to stock up on some jeweled animal pins and oversized flower brooches. Who's in?

Edit: Was just directed to Jane's blog, Sea of Shoes, by a lovely reader. She and her mom styled a blazer with their amazing pin and brooch collection after being inspired by the same J. Crew lookbook photo. Check it out here!
